'Demand-driven production' 

Apart from being a logistics provider, TWO Chemical Logistics also acts as a fully-fledged paint production company. We are a leading specialist in the field of color mixing in the Netherlands. This service came about when our clients asked us if we could be continuously flexible and respond as rapidly as possible to the constantly changing paint market.

Paint production is, for example, extremely weather-dependent. Many paint products are used for exteriors and can only be applied in favourable climatic conditions. Planning is often difficult, because it is hard to forecast the weather, especially in the Netherlands. And sometimes paint is needed urgently, for example, in the event of a miscalculation or sudden damage that needs to be put right. So for a paint supplier it is vital to be able to respond immediately to demand for paint. It can only happen with a flexible production process such as the one used by TWO Chemical Logistics. The later the colour is added to the paint in the production process, the more efficient.

From that point, the road to the end user is fairly short, so delivery realized in a short time frame. Furthermore, it is not feasible to have all colours in stock, especially if it concerns a special colour for a specific purpose. Because the paint is mixed on the TWO Chemical Logistics site, we also have the different components that can be delivered separately if required. An additional benefit of having a minimum stock of paint or none at all and producing it at the last minute is cost reduction.

Paint is not just any old product; it is a high-value material which has to be handled with care. TWO Chemical Logistics has the know-how and experience to deal not only with paint, but also all the non-paint items, such as brushes, stirrers, sandpaper and other painting equipment. We can bundle supplies of paint and non-paint products so that in one delivery from TWO Chemical Logistics your client’s stock at the desired level.
